A number of significant changes in our policies for use of the RV Area.
Changes to Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp RV Area Use Policy
The Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp Board decided to close the RV area to general public recreational camping during the Camp’s ministry season (mid-June to mid-September).
We have created new policy governing the use of the RV area. This new policy is being implemented immediately. During the regular Summer Camp and Conference Season season the RV area will no longer be open to the general public for camping. Our priority in doing so is to ensure an extra measure of protection and safety for the children in the youth camps, and, to reserve its availability to support our youth camps and family conferences. During this time, should there be space available other than that required to support youth camps, it may be enjoyed by Wi-Ne-Ma ministry supporters as defined below:

Camping Policies

Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp - RV Area Policies
Check-In 2:00 pm -- Check Out: Noon
Check-In 2:00 pm -- Check Out: Noon
- FEES: The camping fee is $40 per night per RV (trailer, motor home, camper, tent trailer, or van for example) and $25 per night per tent. Tents setting up in an RV space and connecting to water and/or electricity will need to pay the $40 per night rate. There is a limit of one RV and one satellite tent or one primary tent with one satellite tent per site. Currently there is no tent camping available because the restrooms and shower houses are closed due to Covid-19 restrictions, unless it is a satellite tent with a restroom available in an RV.
- Additional Fees: $15 per night for satellite tents. Satellite tents are meant as an "overflow" unit, not as a secondary family.
- Extra Vehicle: $5 per day. Per Camp Host discretion, may be required to park in another area away from your space.
- Additional people: There is an additional $5 per day charge if you have more than 4 adults and/or more than 4 children occupying your unit or space.
- RESERVATIONS: Reservations are required to secure an RV site. Opportunities for drop-in camping will generally not be available. A link to online reservations will be posted when RV camping is available. At some point this summer a gate may be installed to better secure the facilities. Entrance after the gate is closed and without a reservation will not be permitted.
- PAYMENT AND CANCELLATIONS: A non-refundable one night deposit, along with a nominal reservation fee is due when making a reservation. Your reservation confirmation email will contain a web link to pay the balance of your reservation. In order to maintain a no-touch transaction, the balance of your stay is due at least 24 hours before your reservation begins. Cancellations at least 72 hours before the beginning of your reservation will receive a refund of any additional payments (except for the first night deposit and reservation fee). Cancellations less than 72 hour before the beginning of your reservation and after full payment will not receive any refund except in the case of an emergency and at the discretion of the camp manager.
- CAMPING SPACES: Camping spaces are restricted to the north RV area. Each spot will be the space between 2 pedestals (where, in years past, there might have been 2 RVs) in order to meet the social distancing requirements. RVs will have the option of hook up to either of the 2 pedestals. Currently the county is requiring that RVs have 10 feet separation between units. You should plan on being able to park at least 5 feet off the pedestals (including any slide outs that you might have). Please plan to have sufficient length of water hoses, electrical cords, and sewer hoses needed to accomplish this. Be good neighbors and keep your campsite neat, clean, and orderly. When checking out, leave your camp site clean for the next camper.
- Camping spaces can only accommodate one camping unit, one operational tow vehicle and one satellite tent.
- A camping unit is defined as any unit that is used for sleeping, such as a motor home, 5th wheel, trailer, camper van, pickup with canopy or camper, tent trailer or tent. If it has wheels it is an RV.
- An operational tow vehicle is either a vehicle being towed or the vehicle towing the camping unit.
- Vehicles other than the operational tow vehicles are considered extra vehicles and must pay the extra vehicle fee of $5 per day. If a vehicle is towed in by an RV then it is not considered an extra vehicle. At the discretion of the Camp Host or Camp Office, you may be required to park your tow vehicle or extra vehicles at an alternate location.
- There is an additional fee for extra vehicles and day guests.
- FACILITY USE: The primary focus of camp is to provide a quality and safe Christian camping experience for the youth in our care; so when Youth Camps are in session (June-August) and when Guest Groups are using the facilities:
- RV and tent campers are not to be in the main camp area. We run closed camps. You may not walk through the main camp area or use Camp facilities; boats, slide, playground, camp buildings, for example. Visitor passes are required to interact with the Camp in session.
- RV and tent campers may use restrooms on the north side bottom of Patience Hall anytime, and have use of the showers on the south side of Morse Lodge between 9 am and noon only. Note: If Covid-19 restrictions are still in place, Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp restrooms and shower houses will remain closed. Please use the facilities in your RV.
- PETS: Pets are not allowed. Contact the Camp Office for list of area boarding facilities.
- LAKE USE: RV and tent campers may use the lake approach on the east side of the lake to put private non-motor boats in the lake when Youth Campers are not using the lake.
- FIRES: Be careful with fires. Use only designated fire pits. Do not make your own campfire area. Campfires are not allowed in the Patience Hall (east) row. Stay out of the dune grass and driftwood when you build fires on the beach. Do not leave fires unattended. Firewood may be available; inquire with the Camp Host or Office. Please know that much of this is donated and/or cut, split, and stacked through the efforts of volunteers. Please consider a donation to Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp as a way of appreciating these volunteers.
- QUIET HOURS: Observe quiet time from 9 pm to 8 am.
- RESTRICTIONS: No skate boards, bicycles, or roller blades in camp. No alcohol, marijuana, illegal drugs, tobacco products, vaping, or firearms in Camp.
- TIDES: Watch the tides and use the beach safely. Use caution with the ocean.
