How do I get to Camp?

Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp is located on Hwy 101 between Neskowin and the exit to Pacific City.  Look for the Winema Rd. sign on the west or ocean side of Hwy 101 between mileposts 93 and 94.  Turn on Winema Rd.   Follow the paved road down the hill, toward the ocean.  Turn left at the bottom of the hill to enter the camp gate.

How do I get mail to my camper?

 Email (limit one per camper per day) to campermail@winema.org.  Type the camper’s name in the subject line.  Be aware that campers do not have access to a computer to reply.

What should I bring to Camp?

Sleeping bag, pillow, blanket

Towels, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, personal hygiene items

Warm and waterproof jacket

Shoes (many activities involve movement over rough surfaces and safety precautions preclude wearing open shoes or sandals exclusively.

Adequate changes of clothing, swimsuit.  Laundry facilities are not available to campers.

Bible, pencil, notebook.

Prescription medication (which must be left with the First Aid Person).  All medications including over the counter medicines must be in original container.Money for Missionary Offering and Camp Store.  Each Camp has a missionary project and each afternoon the Camp Store offers afternoon refreshments as well as Camp clothing and other souvenirs.  Though not necessary for an enjoyable week, most Campers bring an average of $20-$25 dollars for the missionary offering and Camp Store.

What should I NOT bring to Camp?

Personal electronic devices (such as radios, CD, tape, or DVD players, TV’s, handheld games, cell phones.

 Drugs, alcohol, tobacco products, weapons.

 Pets.

 Fireworks, matches, skateboards, bicycles, roller blades, scooters.

Youth Camp Policies and Information

  • The Camp phone is (503) 392-3362.
  • A telephone is not available for campers to use.  Parents are called by the Camp Director, Dean, or First Aid person if there is a problem related to sickness, accident, “homesickness,” or discipline.  Parents are also called by the Camp Director if a child expresses a desire to be baptized at Camp.
  • All Camps are “closed camps.”  Visitors are not allowed in the youth camp area without prior permission from the Camp Office and the Director of the Camp in session.
  • If you have a concern about communicating or visiting with your child during her/his week of Camp, please speak with the Director of the Camp in session or the Camp Manager by registration time.
  • Registration for summer camps begins at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.  Please note that Wi-Ne-Ma Christian does not have supervision of campers before 3:00 p.m.
  • Youth Camp closes at 10:00 a.m.  First Chance Camp closes at 1:30 p.m.  Please arrive as close to that time as possible.
  • Youth are to attend the camp of the grade they will enter in September 2010. 
  • First Chance, entering into 3rd grade

    Junior Camps, entering 4th, 5th, or 6th grade

    Junior High Camps, entering 7th or 8th grade

    High School Camps, entering grades 9-12

    When is Registration time, and, what time should we pick up our camper?

    Registration for summer camps starts at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.  Camp closes at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.  For First Chance Camp closes at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.  Christmas Camp registration starts at 10:00 a.m. on December 27th and closes at 1:30 p.m. on December 31.

    May I bring my pet to Camp?

    Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp has a strict NO PETS policy.  Please leave your pet at home when coming to register or pick up your camper.  The NO PETS policy applies to all camp property and activities.

    How can I donate to Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp?

    Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation and relies on donations to help fund its programs and events.  Checks can be made out to "Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp."  Please contact the Camp Office for further information.  (503) 392-3362 - winema@winema.org

    What if I have to Cancel?

    Youth Camp - Cancellation and Refund Policies

    Please notify us if you are unable to attend the Camp for which you have registered (503) 392-3362 or winema@winema.org.  If notification is received prior to start of Registration  we will refund all but $30 of your paid fees.  If we do not receive notification before Registration begins, there will be NO REFUND.

    Family and Adult Conferences - Cancellation and Refund Policies

    Please notify us if you are unable to attend the Conference for which you have registered (503) 392-3362 or winema@winema.org.  If notification is received prior to start of Registration  we will refund all but $30 of your paid fees.  If we do not receive notification before Registration begins, there will be NO REFUND.
