"Well done, good and faithful servant of Christ"

March 31, 2010

Please continue to pray for Salvador and his family. The cancer continues to progress and the chemotherapy does not seem to affect it.

March 24, 2010

Salvador had an appointment with another cancer specialist at the clinic near St,  Vincent hospital.  The doctor said that Salvador was too weak to have any different treatment for now.  He gave him some more medication that is to help with appetite  and nausea. Celia said he had had some bad days as far as the nausea were concerned, but the last two have been better.  They both said to tell everyone "muchas gracias"  for the love prayers and support.  Their faith is strong, and one could sense that God was granting them real peace. Thank you all for your love and care.

Salvador was in the hospital from Sunday through Tuesday when they took him to the ER in LC.  He had pneumonia and was also very dehydrated.  They did give him chemo last week and he needed 2 liters of blood afterwards.   He appreciates all the prayer and cards that he has been getting. We were also able to send him $800 from the Medical Fund.

The Molinas have moved. For the last couple of weeks we have been giving out an inaccurate address. If you would like to send him a card or letter, please contact the Camp Office for his updated address.

Salvador is currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy treatments in Lincoln City, so he does not have to travel far. He is eating better this week and seems to be a little stronger. He and his family appreciate the number of cards and letters they have received.

Salvador Molina, long time maintenance worker at Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp, was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that has already spread throughout much of his body. During the week of January 11 a tumor was removed from the lymph node in his neck and it was determined to be malignant. While Salvador is starting to undergo chemotherapy treatments the prognosis is poor given the advanced stages of the cancer.

Salvador is currently on leave from his work at Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp and is at home between doctor appointments and treatments.

OLE Church Planters and Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp are working together to set up a fund to help with Salvador’s medical expenses. While he does have medical insurance we feel that additional assistance will be needed. Northwest Christian Evangelistic Association, Oregon Christian Convention, and Oregon Christian Evangelistic Fellowship are generously helping get the message out as well.

To help, checks may be made out to "Salvador Molina Medical Fund"  and mailed to  Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp, 5915 Winema Rd., Cloverdale, OR 97112.

To send a card or letter to Salvador, please contact the Camp office for his address.

Please continue to lift up Salvador and his family in your prayers.

Thank you.
