D. H. Shearer, Pastor, Turner Christian Church

Dr. D.H. Shearer is senior minister of Turner Christian Church in Turner, Oregon.  His primary responsibilities include preaching, teaching, calling and overseeing the church staff.  He and his wife, Linda have two married children, Peter and Laurie.  D.H. serves on the boards for the Oregon Christian Convention and Emmanuel School of Religion in Johnson City, Tennessee.  He was president of the Oregon Christian Convention in 2000 and 2009.  An avid history buff, he serves as chaplain to the First Oregon Volunteer Infantry, a "living history" group of the Civil War era.  He also writes band arrangements of the Civil War period and plays euphonium/tuba in his regimental brass band.

Christian Heritage Conference fills Memorial Day weekend with significant reflection and contemplation on historic issues and current trends among churches whose history, tradition, and goals are part of what is known as the Restoration Movement or the Stone-Campbell Movement.

Christian Heritage Conference is a family conference offering sessions and activities for all ages.  Nursery care as well as a children's and youth program are offered during the main sessions.  The afternoons are free to explore the Camp's recreational opportunities as well as the beach and nearby attractions.
